9 Fighters, 5 Titles, 2 Runners-up and 1 Most Spirited. Priceless!

It was a very proud day for our dojo on Saturday 11 April at the Queensland State Titles. For most of our fighters, this was their first or second tournament and they all handled it with confidence and the Kyokushin spirit.

Moe Derballa
Runner Up Men’s Lightweight & Most Spirited Fighter

Moe was Runner Up in the Men’s Lightweight Division. He convincingly won his first fight against a Black Belt. Although he didn’t win his second match, he really competed against another Black Belt with some 20 years experience. He was awarded for efforts outside his comfort zone with the Most Spirited Fighter of the Tournament.
